I saw it back when I used to live in Poland, and I remember the exact title in polish but I can’t think of a translation. In Polish it was called ‘Imperium Słońca”
It was about a boy, about 11 i think, he got separated from his parents and went to a weird military camp during war…than after a couple of years his parents found him. One detail I remember is when he was still with his parents, they were staying at some sort of a hotel & he was in bed & saw a ship sending morse code through the window, he picked up a flashlight & started sending signals than a bomb exploded in the building or something like that
