Go see Plock, and Turin, and the new HUGE cathedral in …lipz?
Lucky you. What an awesome city to spend the better part of a month in. You will be able to see everything in Krakow and lots more. You should do all the usual things Wawel Castle, Wawel cathedral, the cloth market, walks around the planty (a park where a medieval wall used to be) explore the barbican, go have fun in the old jewish quarter Kazimierz and enjoy the ambience of an inexpensive well preserved medieval city. You must try the Pierogies while there! But there’s so much more to the area you will be in. Zakopane only a few hours by train will give you some great mountain views. One of most memorable of all sites in all of Europe is Auschwitz-Birkenau which is one hour outside of Krakow - something you just can’t miss. Since you have 25 days also consider night trains to Prague and Budapest - both European cities that can’t be missed. Consider at least 2 nights in each. I would also consider trips up to Warsaw and Gdansk. There’s a very special castle outside of Gdansk called Malbork castle of the Teutonic Knights - one of the most amazing to visit in Europe. I will recommend one piece of literature that really sums up the area including Prague, Budapast, Poland and more - Best of Eastern Europe 2007 by Rick Steves. He is THE BEST. As Rick would say, Happy Travels!
here you have some sites (in english) I’ve found about where to go in Krakow:
I love Krakow, I think it’s just enough to look around and you will find so much to do! good luck:)
