Krakow Poland was my mom’s birthplace.
Her mom and dad were taunted, scared, robbed, kidnapped, stripped, enslaved and gassed to death by the Nazis in WWII as part of their “final solution” ethnic cleansing of Europe.
Mom was smuggled out of Europe to safety in Canada. I would ask her, but she is dead now, and never liked to talk about it when she was alive.
I only know her birthplace and when she got into Canada because I have her things, including her old passport.
She married a Catholic from Ukrania, and although raised Jewish, mom was the first one in the family to get “saved”, and be born again (John 3:3).
Kazimierz is not a town - it is a district of Kraków.
Bielsko and Biała are now one town - Bielsko-Biała. Not very close to Kraków - rather to Katowice.
The two important towns you have missed are Wadowice - birthplace of John Paul II, and Oświęcim - site of the Auschwitz Nazi (German) concentration camp during World War Two.
