I found, as an example, that you can take the train from Prague to Cadca in Slovakia and then change there for a train to Oswiecim. The trip would take about 10 hours. I think if you arrive in Prague, you can ask where to go. Of course, there are also the direct flights by Czech airlines from Prague to Krakow which would take about 80 minutes.

It depends on your budget…you could fly from Prague to Krakow and then take a direct train from Krakow to Oswiezim which takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. You could also take the EC train from Prague to Oswiezim…depending on when and what time of the day you wish to travel, trips range from 6 hours for the night train to 10+ hours with up to 3 transfers during the day. If you can afford it, pay a bit extra a get a first class ticket..seats are bigger and you would share a compartment with up to 5 other people versus 7 with a second class seat. In my experience, no need to sleep on your luggage.
