I just got back from overseas myself so I had a huge list of stuff. Here goes what I can remember anyway.
1.Personal hygiene things such as shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, tweezers and nailclippers.
2.feminine hygiene products such as when you get your u know what if you are a female.
3.Clean underwear and socks
4.About 5 or 6 different outfits if you plan on shopping too.I didn’t worry so much about the clothes as you can get clothes no matter where you go.
5.Medications….prescribed and over the counter.
I especially recommend that you get immodium for diarrhea as well as something to help you if you get constipated as I had both problems the entire time I was overseas.
Get Advil and Tylenol and Gravol.I also took bandaids and first aid spray.get any medication you may need just in case.
6.I took my own pillow as well as i can only sleep with my pillow.
7.Favorite pajamas
8.Toilet paper ( a couple of rolls) hey u never know when u may need it and trust me I did.
9.Snacks for the plane
10.Camera,film,batteries, and USB cord if it is digital
11.Water Bottle
12.Sunglasses/hat/hairclips
13.A small alarm clock
14.Magazines and a couple of favorite novels
15.Journal to record your daily activities or whatever
16.My address book
17.Phonecards if possible.I bought mine overseas once I got there.
18.Emergency contact numbers such as the embassy
19.Travel Insurance in case you get sick or hurt
20.Your ticket and passport…lol
This is all I can remember at the moment anyway.
Have fun and be safe!
There are not much media (TV, magazines, movies) available in English language. Might as well bring your own…a laptop will do…or DVDs in English to keep you occupied when you are alone at home….it really depends if you really like watching or you will just prefer to read books.
