Safety is the same everywhere, so e.g. you should`t leave valuable stuff accessible for everyone. Almost all, good hostels have possibilities to hide valuable stuff. You should be careful. That`s all
in the leidseplein area 10 min walk from centre is a hotel ‘Kyook’for about 30 british pounds a night with tv an breakfast
