This a very grey area and you should be careful taking advice from here, the best way to find out the information is to go to your local consulate and ask there.
Because I am getting from you post that you are a foreign person with a temporary or permanent residency card (pobyt na stale) living in Poland, and if you are, then you will not be allowed to work in other European countries as this only allows you to live and work in the country which it is issued in.

If you are a Polish national and asking if you can work in other European countries on your identity card then yes you can, but it would be advisable to get a passport.

But the best way as I said is to not listen to me or anyone else and that is to check it out yourself with the relevant authorities. :O)

starlet108, how can you say this when the actual numbers of available jobs has increased in the UK over the last two years and decreased unemployment, going by this immigrants actually increase the amount of jobs and promote industry.
