Go on-line and look at the (Oregon or Maine) state requirements and then pinpoint your search at the local area.
You did say POLAND, and not PORTLAND, right? So, any reference to Oregon or Maine wouldn’t help you much. If you want to teach English in Poland, you will need a degree, preferably one in education but most any major will do provided you have a good grasp of the English language. You will also need TOEFL, TESL, or some other variation of English as a Secondary Language that shows you know the subject enough to be able to teach it legally. You will also need a work visa from the Polish Embassy, usually one outside the country is required. So, for example, if you live in the UK, go to the Polish Embassy there and apply. You will need this documentation prior to entering the country with the intention of teaching. Good luck.
