Hi,
My mom has gone to Poland a bunch of times. I want to tell you that they’re famous for Polish pottery(see the link picture). I mean peole are crazy about Polish pottery. As for tourist attractions: Mention Krakow, the former capital of Poland. it is an amzing and beautiful city (See link). I know it is a little taboo, but mention Aushwitz. Millions of peolple flock there a year to see this concentarion camp(See link). Also mention Warsaw, the capital Poland and a fascinating city(see link).
Hope I helped,
Desiré
Some additional highlights - the lake district in the North-West (”Mazury”), the Wieliczka salt mine just south of Kraków, the Tri-City on the Baltic Coast (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia), the cities of Wrocław and Toruń - just give the names to a browser and you’ll get loads of pictures and info. And apart from pottery - various forms of needlework (embroidery, cross-stitch, knitting, etc.) are popular pastimes.

and go to images and type Poland or the following:Krakow, Warsaw, Wieliczka.
Look at the pictures one at a time.
google info and images of the towns warsaw, krakow, and gniezno; these 3 cities are probably the most important in poland, historically. mention the legend of lech, czech and rus; the hourly trumpet call (hejnal mariacki) from the tower of st. mary’s church in krakow; and the legend of the syrena (mermaid) that protects the wisla river and the city of warsaw. as for fun and games, the class can partake in traditional games of ‘andrzejki’, which are basically fortune-telling games done on a certain day of the year.
I found a pretty good site with photos of Poland’s scenery and big cities.
You can also go to several more parts that will give you more photos. Hope this helps.
Well, since this is the Easter Season, you could also include “Pisanki” or Polish Easter Eggs, and there are also Polish Nesting Dolls; which are similar to the Russian Nesting Dolls; and “Wycinanki” or Polish Paper Folk Art, beautiful works of art cut from paper.
I’ve included the links for you!
